It Began with a Page by Kyo Maclear, about Japanese-American artist Gyo Fujikawa

Gyo learned to accept herself and then wanted the world to accept each other

During segregation, Gyo drew books featuring children of different ethnicities playing together

She finally got her publisher to agree, and she became a best-selling children's author!

Ms Fujikawa believed in a world where children could exist freely from racism and segregation. So she used her art to show the world what could be possible.
